About Our School

Our nature-based microschool integrates outdoor learning into daily instruction, recognizing that children learn powerfully when connected to the natural world. We spend significant time outside year-round, using our local environment as both classroom and laboratory for discovery. Through direct experience with nature, students develop scientific thinking, environmental stewardship, and a sense of wonder that fuels lifelong learning. I'm passionate about progressive education and believe strongly in the power of student-centered learning. My teaching approach emphasizes inquiry, collaboration, and authentic assessment. I love watching students light up when they make connections and take ownership of their learning. I have experience with project-based learning, Socratic seminars, and differentiated instruction. In my free time, I'm an avid reader, amateur photographer, and volunteer at the local library.
